unusual architecture found in Ocean Shores, WA - taken May 16, 2010

bottom 2/3s is convex with ridge between the first and second stories, note different sized diamond shaped windows on the third floor

a lighthouse in downtown Ocean Shores doubles as a taco/espesso stand

the house in photo one is to the left of center - note homes in 'open fields'

typical roof shape - maybe because of torrential 'sideways' rain??

a lot of the houses are 'round'

few (small) windows?? and that strange roofline

looks like a silo connected to a barn

huge staircase to small second story room

outbuilding to side with staircase

they do like their stairways and second/third floor decks on high stilts

these two identical houses are connected by the deck

this one almost looks like it is grinning

the two houses on the right are connected by the second floor deck (or maybe the 'house' on the right is just a three story garage?)

another 'round house'

another version of that strange roofline

four tiny little pastel homes - maybe 500 sq. ft. each

doesn't this look almost like a UFO?

three stories high but windows only on the top floor (except for the cantilevered room on the right) - and what about the glass walled turret on stilts with a pointed roof - gotta love it!!!

wedge shaped

A lot of the roofs are shaped like this and one can't help but wonder if it is because of the torrential 'sideways' rain that is so common here

Many of the homes look like they are tilting but I was not holding my iPhone level - sorry. Kendra
